Every Master's and PhD application has to be reviewed by the Committee; it means that the Committee is the body that decides whether these applicants will be accepted or not. Three decisions that the Committee can make are: ACCEPTED, ACCEPTED BUT NEEDS TO ATTEND ADDITIONAL COURSES and REJECTED.
ACCEPTED: The student can immediately start the program for which he or she applied.
ACCEPTED BUT NEEDS TO ATTEND ADDTITIONAL COURSES: The student can proceed with the commencement of the studies after achieving a sufficient number of credits and attending obligatory additional courses. Depending on the Committee's decision, it could take a semester or two.
REJECTED: The candidate cannot enroll.
You can find all about tuition fees here
You will receive a conditional acceptance letter with all the details regarding your study program, payment, arrival, documents, residence, etc., basically the whole enrollment process.
Students who do not need a visa, can proceed with the payment to our account, send a confirmation slip, and prepare the documentation that they need to submit upon arrival. Upon arrival in Sarajevo, they must apply for a residence permit.
Students who need a visa, have to make an initial payment of 1,000€ to our account, send a confirmation slip to our email, and along with this confirmation, the University applies for the invitation letter. When we receive the invitation letter, in order for us to send it by post, the student needs to pay the rest of the tuition fee. When the student gets the invitation letter, he/she goes to the nearest BH embassy and applies for a visa; after the student gets the visa, he/she may set off for Sarajevo. Upon arrival in Sarajevo, he/she must apply for a residence permit.
*Keep in mind that these are not University regulations, but the process defined by law.

Foreign students - If a foreign student submits a complete application for visa to study in Bosnia and Herzegovina and his/her visa application is rejected, or if he/she fails to come to Bosnia and Herzegovina for any other reason, or if the Student Admissions Committee rejects the student's application for enrollment, IUS will refund the tuition fees paid by a student, excluding any bank charges, the admission fee, and cancellation fee stipulated in the previous paragraph.
A foreign student who entered Bosnia and Herzegovina based on IUS guaranties or obtained student status via an IUS authorized agent, and who, upon arrival in Bosnia and Herzegovina, submits a request for cancellation of this contract is not entitled to a refund of the tuition fees or any other related expenses, regardless of when he or she submitted the cancellation request.
A foreign student who is found to have obtained or taken advantage over the IUS guaranties to obtain student status without intention to study loses the student status and is not entitled to a refund of tuition fees.
In case a foreign student is deported from Bosnia and Herzegovina by competent authority, IUS will not refund the tuition fees to the student.
IUS will not refund tuition fees to a student who is expelled from IUS due to a violation of discipline or due to academic failure (exceeding the allowed number of renewals of a study year, as well as exceeding the allowed number of registrations for the English language course).
